The Public Health Institute of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the FB&H Red Cross signed an agreement today, which formalizes the successful cooperation between the two institutions during the COVID- pandemic 19.

The agreement requires continued cooperation, including partnership in organizing the process of mass immunization of the population in FB&H against COVID 19.

It represents a working plan for cooperation between the two institutions and joint work wherever and whenever possible, initiatives and activities in the field of mass immunization, mutual cooperation with the aim of protecting health in crisis situations.

One of the signatories, Secretary-General of the FB&H Red Cross Namik Hodžić, told reporters that the organization would assist the Institute in the administrative part of the immunization process, as well as the population, especially those living far from vaccination sites, and other relevant activities.

The activities at the checkpoints include assistance in maintaining hygienic-epidemiological measures, assistance in the arrival of especially elderly and less mobile people, as well as in identification of citizens upon arrival for vaccination. It is also possible to transport elderly and less mobile people, vulnerable categories.

Hodžić reminds that the Red Cross has been cooperating with the Institute since the beginning of the pandemic and, based on today's agreement, is putting up capacities with the aim of supporting the organization of the process of mass immunization. He called on the population to be vaccinated against COVID.
