At the wedding of the daughter of SDA President Bakir Izetbegović, the director of the Intelligence and Security Agency (ISA) of B&H, Osman Mehmedagić, violated the prohibitive measures imposed on him by the Court of B&H, considering that he approached Asim Sarajlić - a witness in the criminal case against him, Press media writes.
The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed and the Court of B&H confirmed the indictment against Mehmedagić due to the existence of a well-founded suspicion that he committed serious criminal offenses of abuse of position or authority, forgery of documents and money laundering. The indictment also refers to the disputed purchase of an Audi Q5 car, which Mehmedagić bought in cash from Asim Sarajlić.
As expected, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed by Mehmedagic's friend Ranko Debevec, refused to order Mehmedagić into custody, but ordered prohibitive measures. One of the measures is "prohibition of contact with witnesses of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this criminal case, including approaching them at a distance of 50 meters, and any contact and conversation about the case with any person except defense counsel."
At the wedding of the daughter of the SDA president, the director of ISA violated the prohibition measures because he approached Asim Sarajlić at a distance of less than 50 meters, and according to the statements of the guests, at one point he even talked to Sarajlić. Such an arrogant attitude towards the measures imposed by the Court of B&H is the result of Osmica's self-confidence that there is not the slightest chance that the Court of B&H, as long as Ranko Debevec is in office, will order his detention.
- The suspect is especially warned that he may be ordered into custody if he doesn not act in accordance with the measure imposed by this decision - it was written in the decision that the Court of B&H submitted to Osman Mehmedagić.
It remains to be seen whether the Prosecutor's Office of B&H will ask the Court of B&H to order the detention of the ISA director, who obviously does not care about the Court of B&H's prohibitive measures.
However, judging by the behavior of Ranko Debevac, the President of the Court of B&H, so far, it is to be expected that they will ignore everything again.
