Germany provides support to five hospitals in B&H in the fight against pandemic

The donation is intended for cantonal hospitals "Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić” in Bihać and “Dr. Safet Mujić” in Mostar, University Hospital in Mostar, Hospital “Serbia” in East Sarajevo and General Hospital “Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš” in Sarajevo

German Ambassador to B&H Margret Uebber and regional director of the Arbeiter Samariter Bund (ASB) Elmir Bojadžić signed a contract on Tuesday approving a total of 60,000 euros as emergency aid in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The donation is intended for five hospitals throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina - cantonal hospitals "Dr. Irfan Ljubijankić” in Bihać and “Dr. Safet Mujić” in Mostar, University Hospital in Mostar, Hospital “Serbia” in East Sarajevo and General Hospital “Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš” in Sarajevo. These funds will be used to support the five listed hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On May 3 this year, Ambassador Uebber signed another contract with the association "Help" for the support of health institutions in B&H in the amount of 55,000 euros in order to provide support to the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of the Federation of B&H and hospitals in Travnik and Nova Bila.

Health care institutions in the Goražde region are additionally assisted. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the humanitarian organization "Help" has implemented projects worth a total of 220,000 EUR, stated the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
