Ambrosi gets acquainted with the improvement of conditions for migrants

Chief of Staff of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) from Geneva Eugenio Ambrosi and Chief of the IOM Mission in B&H Laura Lungarotti visited yesterday the Temporary Reception Center Borići in Bihać and the temporary camp Lipa in the Una-Sana Canton.

During the visit, they met with the Prime Minister of the Una-Sana Canton, Mustafa Ružnić, and the Mayor of Bihać, Šuhret Fazlić, with whom they discussed important topics related to the migration situation in that canton.

During his visit to reception centres Borići and Lipa, Ambrosi witnessed the progress made in improving the conditions in which migrants, asylum seekers and refugees are housed, as well as IOM's support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in building a comprehensive response to migration in the country.

The plan of the visit is to meet with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B&H Zoran Tegeltija, advisors to the members of the Presidency of B&H, Prime Minister of the Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto, Head of the European Union Delegation to B&H Johann Sattler, USAID Mission Director Nancy Eslick and USAID Deputy Director Kelsey Crowley, announced the IOM.
