Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turković met with former German foreign minister Joschka Fischer during an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany in Berlin.

Fischer is currently a Senior Strategic Advisor at the Albright Stonebridge Group, where he advises clients on issues related to Germany and the European Union and is a managing partner of the global strategic company “Joschka Fischer and Company”.

As it was announced, Minister Turković and Fischer discussed the current situation on the vaccine markets, and the effectiveness of the COVAX mechanism. The Minister informed Fischer about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina when it comes to the procurement of vaccines.

They also exchanged opinions on the positioning of Germany in the European Union and in the Western Balkans, after the announced departure of longtime Chancellor Angela Merkel from the political scene in this country.

Turković and Fischer also discussed the German candidate for the new High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
