Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and leader of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) Milorad Dodik reiterated today his long-standing views on the need to abolish the Office of the High Representative (OHR).

A special session of the RS National Assembly is being held in Banja Luka today to discuss only one item on the agenda: "Assessment of the work of the High Representative, application of Annex 10 of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in B&H / Dayton Agreement / during the talks on appointing a new High Representative" at the suggestion of Dodik.

In his address, he mentioned that the representatives of the international community, and especially the European Union and the United States of America, mostly talk about the rule of law and most often violate it, which, as he added, shows the actions of the High Representative.

He pointed out that it is unacceptable for him to discuss the fate of B&H from a distance, where, as he said, the nature of the problem could not be seen.

-The Bosniak political elite has been holding the people captive for 26 years, talking about the change of the Constitution which abolishes the genocidal creation of RS, and they cannot make compromises by accepting the transfer of competencies or abolition- he added.

He says that such a practice leads to the dissolution of B&H and destroys the chance for a stable B&H, and that there is no need for a policy of force, imposition and interference in the internal affairs of B&H if a state that aspires to be stable and a member of the European Union is built.

He assessed that it is extremely important for the RSNA to get acquainted with all aspects of the extension of the mandate of the High Representative, and now there are two candidates. He underlined that Republic of Srpska had not requested or wanted the arrival of a new High Representative and that according to Annex 10, the arrival of a new High Representative required confirmation from the RS, which he had not received.
